Lockbox

In order to ensure that your personal information remains secure, I’m providing all of my clients with access to encrypted, on-line transfer of their sensitive documents via a service called Lockbox.

Any client may directly send me (upload) encrypted documents through this service. In order for clients to receive (download) documents, I must enable an individual Lockbox account in their name.

Features of  your personal Lockbox:

  • Online, temporary storage of documents.
  • Secure internet communication.
  • Electronically sign IRS forms.

To establish your Lockbox:

  1. Send me a file by using the “Just need to upload a file? Click Here” link on my Lockbox Login page, using the email address you prefer.
  2. After the file is sent, click the “Forgot your password?” link on the Lockbox Login page, provide the email address used in step 1, and submit (click “Request Password Reset”).
  3. You’ll receive an email containing a link to reset your password. Click the link to open the reset web page.
  4. In the web page that opens, enter your new password (twice) and  click “Reset Password”.
  5. You’re done! Don’t forget your login information.

Conditions for using Lockbox:

  • A client’s Lockbox is to be used only for documents related to tax preparation.
  • All documents older than 120 days are automatically deleted.

Note: Lockbox is hosted on an external website.
